It’s completely normal for Raelynn to have excessive spit up and drool during grand mal seizures. We almost always make sure she’s on her side during her seizures, especially at the beginning of her seizure when she is most likely to choke on her spit.

This is an example of a tonic clonic seizure that caused Raelynn to be in a good mood. It’s not uncommon for seizures to cause her to laugh, or sometimes to cry, during the episode. Seizures trigger various parts of her brain, sometimes all during the same seizure. While it’s sad that she has seizures, we’re thankful that many of her seizures actually put her in a good mood.
